New York CardBoard City was constructed by filmmaker Johnny Markussen, in his home in Oslo, Norway.
It is made up of a 100(ish) buildings, 200(ish) vehicles and 500(ish) paperthin 2" tall extras. Add to this an alien creature (turkey) slightly oversized for the streets of NYCBC. Eager to take in the sights and a small misunderstanding with the police, army and airforce. The scene is set for a conflict.
The work began mid december 2014 in the filmmaker's apartment. The fullscale city was assembled in the two first weeks of april 2015.
The model city is aprox. 30 x 15 feet, the tallest building (ESB) towering 9'. Artistic license where taken camparing to the actual NYC. Constructed from an endless supply of wine cardboardboxes from his local liquorstore, paper and paint. Total cost around a $100.
